Darryck is a commercial and technical finance professional with extensive experience in analytics, business planning, strategy, corporate and project finance, bid support and reporting.

He is a seasoned financial modeller and problem solver, equally comfortable building complex excel spreadsheets from first principles, from the client’s template or quickly developing solutions for existing models.

After training as a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Darryck has worked in a project and corporate finance advisory capacity in Ernst & Young, Grant Thornton, Citigroup and Duff & Phelps.  During this time he has worked on projects in a wide variety of sectors including transport, social infrastructure, communications, retail, manufacturing, mining, power generation and distribution and oil & gas.  Highlights include acting as finance director for a bid to operate one of the UK’s passenger rail franchises, acting as lead financial adviser on successfully closed PFI transactions and working on the proposed restructuring of the South African electricity distribution sector.

Darryck has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Natal, Durban, South Africa and is a registered chartered accountant, being a member of both the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales.  He speaks English and Afrikaans, and has a working knowledge of French.
