Paul has almost 20 years’ experience in Project Finance in the energy and infrastructure sectors.  He is an experienced financial advisor and expert financial modeller with broad experience in the related analysis of commercial contracts and structures for major projects.

In recent years Paul has advised a number of clients in Europe and the Middle East acting on both the bid and procurement side. Highlights include the procurement of 3.2GW of electrical capacity and 160 MIGD of desalination capacity in Oman, Solar PV IPP in Dubai and several GW of IPP s in Europe.

Following an initial career in the aerospace market , Paul worked as a business analyst at Rolls-Royce Power Ventures responsible for producing financial models and investment analysis for project finance and equity funded power projects. More recently he worked at Project Financing Solutions, a boutique advisory firm.

Paul has worked on a wide range of projects over the last twenty years including:

• Several wind power projects in Europe
• A coal fired power station in Africa
• A number of UK PFI health projects
• Electricity transmission networks in Eastern Europe
• Desalination projects in the Middle East
• Combined water and power projects in the Middle East
• Gas pipeline projects
• Electrical interconnector projects
• Solar projects in the Middle East

In addition to his advisory roles, Paul also teaches courses on financial modelling and power purchase agreement structures.

Paul has a BEng (Hons) in Aeronautical Engineering from Bristol University.
